Terra Gaucha Brazilian Steakhouse opens its doors to the public Friday, May 30th in the former Charleston’s building at 138th & West Dodge Road. It will be the Jacksonville, Florida-based restaurant’s fifth location nationwide and its second in the Midwest.
Situated in First National Business Park, the newest Terra Gaucha brings an elevated steakhouse experience to the heart of steak country. The Omaha location boasts generous parking, a reimagined modern space and a fully remodeled interior built by Lockwood Development that includes expanded dining accommodations and an open bar concept.
“Omaha is a thriving food city with a deep appreciation for great steak and vibrant culture,” said Rodolfo Melo, co-founder of Terra Gaucha. “Terra Gaucha is committed to pampering local residents and tourists with a ‘Gaúcho-style’ welcoming and engaging experience, where fire-roasted premium cuts are carved tableside. Guests can expect top-tier service from the Omaha wait staff led by Managing Partner Alceu Pressi — each dedicated to the Brazilian art of hospitality. Chefs and servers alike are steeped in the centuries-old Gaúcho-cooking style, refined through decades of experience.”
Founded on the Gaúcho tradition of open-flame, skewered meat roasting known as “Churrasco,” Terra Gaucha offers guests a taste of Brazil’s rich culinary heritage. From prized picanha (sirloin cap) to handcrafted caipirinha cocktails, every detail is curated to deliver an authentic, immersive experience. The main dining room provides a direct line of site to the grilling area where chefs prepare, season, skewer and slow roast a variety of premium cuts that include locally sourced beef.
Patrons will enjoy all you can experience tender, premium cuts including rib-eye filet, filet mignon, lamb chops, grilled salmon, grilled shrimp and the famed sweet grilled pineapple. More Brazilian cuisine is showcased at Terra Gaucha’s Gourmet Hot and Cold Table, a custom-built, marble encased, self-service area offering vibrant vegetables, whole foods, seasonal dishes, imported cheeses and traditional Brazilian sides. Velvety, decadent desserts that feature classic Brazilian Flan and silken Papaya Cream offer a sweet, elegant finale to the meal. Guests are encouraged to try a bite of everything to savor a wide range of flavors.
Pressi, a Level One Sommelier, added that Terra Gaucha has an extensive wine rack showcasing 1,400 bottles of more than 150 wine labels across the globe, including big and bold options from South America that pair perfectly with Terra Gaucha cuisine.
Guests can opt for the Ultimate Churrasco Experience or choose the Gourmet Hot and Cold Table only, available at special prices during lunch.
“Our team is passionate about providing an elevated steakhouse experience,” said Pressi. “Omaha has high expectations when it comes to steak, and we’re ready to exceed them with authentic flavors and world-class service.”
With a seating capacity of up to 200 guests and three private dining spaces for special events, the Omaha location is designed for both everyday dining and memorable gatherings.
